Judy Schaffer Welcome Letter

Dear Members,

As we begin the 107th year of Estes Park Woman’s Club, our record of extraordinary community service, begun by our pioneering founders, continues to this day.

Estes Park Woman’s Club is the longest force of community service in Estes Park. The Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame theme this year is “Grit, Grace and Inspiration.” Estes Park Woman’s Club exemplifies this theme through today.

Your commitment to the Woman’s Club projects including, the Estes Valley Public Library (founded by Estes Park Woman’s Club in 1916), Rocky Mountain National Park, Scholarships, Estes Park Schools, to mention only a few, keeps our club vibrant. We may be small in numbers compared to other service organizations in the community but our contributions have ALWAYS been significant.

Our tradition of volunteering means that each member has a vital role to play, whether serving on the board, or a committee, introducing a friend to our club, or attending meetings. Your service commands a place of honor and respect to our town.

Introducing your friends and neighbors to our club ensures that the legacy of community service and the significance of our projects will endure.

Sincere thanks to those who will serve on the 2019-2020 Board. My thanks also to the many members who have volunteered to lead and serve on committees. Keeping our club vibrant and significant, requires all members. Committees welcome extra hands and ideas. Step forward and become an active participant in Estes Park Woman’s Club.

As your new president I am challenged and inspired by the record of service complied by my predecessors. As I follow in their footsteps, I will work hard to fulfill my commitment to the Estes Park Woman’s Club. You have my gratitude for providing this opportunity to serve this very special club.
